Meta is bragging about how its AI keeps people on Instagram while facing lawsuits over addiction

Meta says new AI ranking on Instagram increased sessions and is surfacing fresher, more personalized Reels, with over half of recommended content under a day old.

The company also said its Muse LLMs are improving content classification and helping build newer recommendation systems for posts and ads.

At the same time, Meta faces lawsuits, including one from 40 US states, accusing it of designing addictive products that harm teen mental health.
