Red Hat announced the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Long-Life add-on at Red Hat Summit 2026.

The annual subscription extends critical security updates and bug fixes for select RHEL versions indefinitely, even after extended support ends.

The offer is aimed at regulated, long-lived environments that must keep the same Linux version running for many years.

It also helps Red Hat compete more directly with third-party perpetual-support providers like TuxCare and others.
