Philanthropic Support for Tackling Air Pollution Stagnating, Study Finds

A Clean Air Fund analysis says philanthropic funding for outdoor air pollution rose only slightly from 2022 to 2023, showing little momentum.

International development funding fell sharply, while overall support remained concentrated among a small group of donors and regions.

North America received the largest share of funding, whereas Africa and Latin America received very little.

The report warns that a major global health and climate challenge is still being underfunded despite strong returns from cleaner air.
