US Air Force shows B-1B bomber carrying hypersonic missile system for first time

The U.S. Air Force publicly showed a B-1B Lancer carrying the AGM-183A ARRW hypersonic missile for the first time.

The image came from an Edwards Air Force Base video and suggests the bomber can externally carry the weapon underwing.

Budget documents also point to successful captive-carry and release testing, plus new funding for ARRW and related hypersonic work.

The move signals continued hypersonic integration on the B-1B to keep it relevant for long-range stand-off strike missions.
