Nvidia Deepens AI Infrastructure Push With Multibillion-Dollar Bet on Data Center Operator IREN

Nvidia struck a multibillion-dollar AI infrastructure deal with IREN to deploy up to 5 gigawatts of compute systems across IREN’s global data center network.

The partnership pushes Nvidia beyond chips and deeper into the AI stack, including power, cooling, and optical connectivity.

Nvidia also secured the right to buy up to 30 million IREN shares over five years, a stake that could be worth up to $2.1 billion.

For IREN, the deal accelerates its shift from Bitcoin mining infrastructure to hyperscale AI data centers and could lift its capacity and valuation.
