It’s make or break time for AI labeling systems

Google said Chrome and Search will verify SynthID markers and C2PA metadata in images, expanding AI content provenance checks.

OpenAI said it will add SynthID to images made by ChatGPT, Codex, and its API.

The move links two major authenticity systems and could make manipulated or AI-generated images easier to detect at scale.
