Shinsegae Department Store to Open Korea’s First ‘Pompompurin Bakery Cafe’

Shinsegae Department Store has opened Korea’s first Pompompurin bakery café at its Gangnam branch’s Sweet Park basement level.

The new space combines bakery items, beverages, and merchandise in one character-themed concept store.

It carries about 100 kinds of goods, including 30th anniversary items, Japan-imported products, and Korea-exclusive merchandise.

The café also offers Pompompurin-inspired baked goods and signature drinks, highlighting the growing appeal of IP-based experiential retail.
