Google Search as you know it is over

Google is redesigning Search around an AI-powered search box that supports longer, conversational queries and follow-up questions.

The update adds interactive results and new information agents that track the web and summarize changes for users.

Google says the rollout builds on AI Overviews and AI Mode, both of which already have large user bases.

The shift aims to make Search more agent-driven and less dependent on traditional ranked blue links.
