ByteDance and Alibaba Couldn't Stop It: Tencent WorkBuddy Quietly Took the AI Office Agent Top Spot in Four Months With 20.97 Million Monthly Visits

Tencent’s WorkBuddy reached 20.97 million monthly visits in the June 2026 Analysys ranking, overtaking ByteDance Trae and Alibaba QoderWork.

Launched in March, the product’s rapid rise was driven by Tencent’s enterprise distribution channels, OpenClaw plugin compatibility, and tight integration with WeChat, WeCom, Tencent Cloud, and PC Manager.

Tencent also said a July 6 Hunyuan update improved performance and retention.

The shift suggests AI office-agent competition is now about ecosystem control, distribution, and workflow lock-in more than model quality alone.
