Artemis II Countdown: How and When to Watch the Launch

Artemis II is cleared for launch to test crewed lunar flight after program delays and repairs.

The launch window opens April 1 at 6:24 pm EDT and remains open for two hours with backup dates through April 6 and April 30.

Four astronauts will ride an SLS rocket in an Orion capsule to fly 6,000–9,000 km above the moon's far side and return to Earth.

NASA will stream live on YouTube and estimates the crew will be near return by day ten after a roughly 50-minute communications blackout behind the moon.
