Samsung’s new app claims to alleviate motion sickness using sound

Samsung released a free Android app called Hearapy that plays a 100Hz tone to address motion sickness.

The app by default plays a 60-second sine wave and lets users set duration between 40 and 120 seconds.

Samsung says one minute of listening can reduce nausea for up to two hours and recommends Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.

Hearapy was inspired by a Nagoya University study that found specific sound wavelengths reduced discomfort when reading in a moving vehicle.
