Anthropic hires OpenAI co-founder Andrej Karpathy to lead Claude pre-training research

Anthropic has hired Andrej Karpathy, former OpenAI co-founder and Tesla AI leader, to join its pre-training team.

He will help accelerate Claude research by using Claude itself in the model development process.
