SAS Viya brings data infrastructure and agentic AI closer to each other

SAS expanded Viya at SAS Innovate with new infrastructure and AI features aimed at making analytics run closer to where data already lives.

New capabilities include SpeedyStore for in-place analytics, Data Accelerator for analytics inside third-party cloud data platforms, and native DuckDB support.

SAS also deepened Copilot integrations across production workflows and SAS Studio, including links with Microsoft Foundry.

The update is designed to reduce data movement, improve governance, and remove common barriers to scaling agentic and generative AI.
