Hitachi partners with Anthropic, introduces Claude and other AI tools to 290,000 employees across the group, with expansion into social infrastructure fields

Hitachi has formed a strategic partnership with Anthropic to bring Claude into internal operations and its HMAX platform.

The company will also work with Anthropic on AI talent development, stronger cyber defenses, and more advanced infrastructure operations.

Hitachi plans to test AI gains inside the company first, then expand them to core infrastructure businesses such as power, transport, manufacturing, and finance.

The move could accelerate enterprise AI adoption and practical deployment in industrial and social infrastructure settings.
