Google begins rolling out Search Live globally

Google began rolling out Search Live globally, search Live rollout expanded after a prior false start.

Search Live lets users point their phone camera at objects or scenes and ask questions provides answers about what users see through the camera.

Availability is available in every location and language where Google's AI Mode chatbot is offered coverage now includes more than 200 countries and territories.

Underlying model is Google's Gemini 3.1 Flash Live model, gemini 3.1 Flash Live powers Search Live's capabilities.

Gemini 3.1 was designed to be natively multilingual and support more natural conversations, google states the model aims for improved multilingual and conversational performance.
