Meet Rassvet, Russia’s Answer to Starlink

Bureau 1440 launched the first 16 Rassvet broadband satellites from Plesetsk on March 23.

The launch begins construction of a planned low-orbit network of at least 300 satellites by 2030.

Rassvet is designed to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet and could serve both civilian and state or military needs.

The project underscores Russia’s push for an independent satellite internet system and tests its ability to scale production quickly.
