[Battery Inside] SK On kicks off a V-shaped rebound with ESS and subsidies after exiting the red

SK On posted operating profit of KRW 821.8 billion in Q2, returning to profitability after seven quarters.

AMPC subsidies and better manufacturing efficiency helped offset weaker EV demand and drive the rebound.

The company is expanding into ESS with its new dedicated brand, Gridon.

It is also entering defense and unmanned-robot batteries and reshaping its North American operations by taking sole control of the Ford joint venture.
