Apple May Drop Base $599 MacBook Neo as Chip, DRAM Costs Climb

Apple is reportedly considering dropping the MacBook Neo’s base 256GB model.

Rising component costs, tight 3nm chip supply, and strong demand are increasing production pressure.

That could push up the laptop’s starting price without a formal across-the-board price hike.

Apple has also pared back low-end Mac mini and Mac Studio configurations recently.
