Spotify adds verified artist badges so that you know you’re listening to a human, and not AI

Spotify is rolling out a light green Verified by Spotify badge on artist profiles and in search.

Verification is based on listener activity, policy compliance, and a real-world presence.

The platform is also adding richer profile details, including milestones, releases, and touring history.

AI-generated artists and personas will not be eligible for verification at launch, helping users spot non-human accounts more easily.
