At Tokyo Big Sight’s heat-countermeasure expo, Asahi Kiki unveiled FOLLOAS, a robot-style air outlet.

It uses cameras to detect workers and motorized movement to aim cold air directly at people in real time.

The system is built for large industrial spaces such as factories and warehouses, where targeted cooling can be more efficient than cooling an entire area.

It is drawing attention as workplaces face tighter heatstroke-prevention obligations in Japan.
