Ignored no more: Google Messages lets you mention friends to make sure you're heard

Google revealed Mentions in Messages, google announced Mentions in Messages for Android.

Messages app allows users to mention one or multiple people in a group chat using @, users can type '@Name' to mention people in a group chat.

Mentions send notifications to the mentioned recipients, mentions send a notification to the mentioned person.

Messages app lets users edit the saved name shown for recipients when mentioning them, users can edit the displayed name pulled from their contacts for mentions.

RCS must be turned on for all group chat members for Mentions to function, rCS must be enabled for all members for Mentions to work.
