The next great racing game after Forza Horizon 6 isn't here — yet

Forza Horizon has long set the standard for open-world racing games, but its core formula has changed little over time.

Gavin Raeburn, a Forza Horizon co-creator, left Playground Games and now leads Lighthouse Games.

Raeburn says Lighthouse is developing a major new racing-game approach that Xbox would not allow inside Forza Horizon.

Backed by Tencent and staffed with experienced talent, the studio could become a serious new rival in the genre.
