World’s first: Indian startup GalaxEye launches OptoSAR payload aboard SpaceX

GalaxEye launched its first satellite, Drishti, on a SpaceX rideshare mission.

The satellite will test Opto-SAR, a payload that combines optical imaging and synthetic aperture radar in one spacecraft.

This is an early in-orbit demo of a single-satellite platform designed for all-weather, day-and-night Earth observation.

If successful, the technology could support surveillance, disaster response, agriculture, and defense.
