Unitree will sell you a massive ‘transformable mecha’ for $650,000

Unitree unveiled the GD01, a production-ready manned mech priced at $650,000.

The machine can switch between bipedal and four-legged configurations, and CEO Wang Xingxing appeared in the cockpit in demo footage.

Unitree has not clearly explained the GD01’s intended use, and cautioned against hazardous modifications or dangerous operation.

The launch highlights Unitree’s move beyond humanoid robots into a flashy mech platform that raises safety and practicality questions.
