“Action Is Needed” — Microsoft Changes Windows Update In 10 Days

Microsoft is rolling out a two-phase update to Windows Security and Windows Update for Secure Boot certificate status.

Starting in May, affected PCs will show clearer yellow or red warnings if action is still needed before June expiration deadlines.

The change is meant to prompt users and OEMs to install refreshed certificates in time.

If ignored, devices may lose some protection against boot-level threats and hit issues with features that rely on Secure Boot trust.
