Samsung Issues 14 Critical Fixes For Hundreds Of Millions Of Galaxy Phones

Samsung released its April security update for Galaxy phones earlier than planned, including 14 critical fixes.

The update includes Google's Android patches such as CVE-2026-0049, which Google says can allow local denial-of-service without user interaction.

Rollout will be staged by model, region and carrier and will reach devices over the month; not all models receive monthly fixes.

Users are advised to check Settings > Software update > Download and install and then restart to apply the patches.
