Leaked DarkSword iPhone Hack Is 'Extremely Worrisome.' How to Secure Your Phone Now

Security researchers disclosed DarkSword, a publicly available iPhone exploit kit that targets devices via watering-hole websites.

The toolkit was posted on GitHub and has been linked to attacks in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Malaysia and Ukraine.

Vulnerable devices ran iOS 18.4–18.7, and Apple said updates including iOS 26.3 contain fixes to block the exploit.

Users are advised to update iOS or enable Lockdown Mode to protect older devices.
