Almost Half of US Data Centers That Were Supposed to Open This Year Slated to Be Canceled or Delayed

Bloomberg reported that about half of US data centers planned to open in 2026 are likely to be delayed or canceled.

Sightline Climate counted 12 gigawatts announced for 2026 but said only about one third are under construction.

Supply shortages of electrical components have forced firms to import parts and are causing project delays across multiple years.
