Amazon Support for Older Kindles Ends Today. What to Do Now

Amazon has ended support for Kindle and Kindle Fire devices released in 2012 or earlier.

Affected devices can still read books already downloaded, but they can no longer download or borrow new titles.

Amazon warns users not to deregister or factory reset these Kindles, as that could permanently disable access.

Reading remains available through Kindle apps on phones, tablets, and computers.
