As X shuts down Communities, Acorn debuts an alternative that puts creators in control

Blacksky launched Acorn, a community platform for creators and organizations on the AT Protocol.

Acorn offers branded spaces with custom feeds, moderation, onboarding, analytics, and optional infrastructure.

It is already being used by several communities and is positioned as an alternative to centralized services like X Communities.

The goal is to give groups more control over membership, discovery, and moderation on an open-web, portable foundation.
