Apple Releases New Firmware for AirPods Max 2

Apple released firmware version 8E251 for the AirPods Max 2 ahead of the headphones' launch.

The AirPods Max 2 use the H2 chip, which provides features such as Live Translation, Adaptive Audio, Loud Sound Reduction, and Voice Isolation.

Apple published steps to update the firmware using an iPhone, iPad, or Mac and advises powering the AirPods via USB‑C and waiting at least 30 minutes.

If the firmware does not install, Apple recommends restarting the AirPods Max and attempting the update again.
