Chairman Chung Euisun finds the battleground for Europe’s EV market… personally inspects the Ioniq 3

Hyundai Motor Group Chair Euisun Chung visited the company’s Izmit plant in Türkiye to inspect the Ioniq 3 production line and battery system assembly process.

He stressed the need to secure quality and safety from the start of mass production.

The Ioniq 3 is Hyundai’s first B-segment EV for Europe, with production set to begin in August and a regional launch planned for the second half of the year.

The move marks Hyundai’s push into a key growth segment in Europe, using local production and early quality competitiveness to boost sales.
