Microsoft unveils 'Surface RTX Spark Dev Box' desktop for AI development

Microsoft unveiled the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, an AI development desktop with up to 1 petaflop of performance and 128GB of memory.

At Build, it also introduced MXC for isolated AI agent execution on Windows and a hosted agent feature for the cloud.

GitHub Copilot app preview and the Discovery platform for scientific research were also announced or launched.

The move expands Microsoft's push to make Windows and its own ecosystem the center of AI agent development and deployment.
