The RAM crisis is about to get uglier, and your new gadgets could pay for it

A Fast Company report says Nvidia’s next-gen Rubin AI platform could need more than 6 billion GB of LPDDR memory in 2027.

That demand could exceed the combined LPDDR needs of Apple and Samsung, adding strain to an already tight memory market.

If the forecast holds, the shortage could drive up memory prices and make phones, laptops, and other devices more expensive.
