YouTube is testing an AI search mode that 'feels more like a conversation'

Google is testing Ask YouTube, an experimental AI search feature for U.S. Premium users 18+.

It lets people ask conversational, complex questions and get a mix of video results and text summaries.

The feature also supports follow-up prompts, aiming to make YouTube search faster and more useful.

Early tests found it helpful for some queries, but it sometimes gave inaccurate answers or fell back to standard video lists.
