NASA Says Strange Red Dots in Sky Are an Unknown Class of Object That Looks Like a Huge Evil Eye

Astronomers identified a little red dot emitting X-rays by combining Chandra and James Webb observations.

The object may be a heavily obscured supermassive black hole hidden inside thick clouds of gas and dust.

The result offers some of the strongest evidence yet that many little red dots are black hole-powered systems in the early universe.
