Tinder owner Match Group is slowing hiring to pay for its increased use of AI tools

Match Group said it will slow hiring for the rest of the year to help offset the cost of giving employees broader access to AI tools and training.

The company expects the AI rollout to be cost-neutral, with productivity gains and lower headcount balancing the added software expense.

On Tinder, Match reported modest signs of improvement, including a smaller decline in monthly active users and slight growth in registrations.

Match also plans to expand IRL events as it adapts to changing dating habits, especially among younger users.
