Atari Acquires The Rights To The 'Wizardry' RPG Series

Atari has acquired the underlying IP and rights to the first five Wizardry RPG games.

The company plans remasters, collections, console ports, and physical editions for modern players.

Later Wizardry entries remain with Drecom, while Digital Eclipse is already working on a remake of the first game.

The deal gives Atari control of a classic RPG catalog that has been hard to find for years.
