Orbot Robotics’ space robot has four arms, but its Goro physique has a purpose

Orbit Robotics has unveiled Helios, a four-armed robot designed for space-station work.

Its tendon-driven arms and rolling-contact elbows are built to move smoothly and stay stable in microgravity.

Helios is intended to handle repetitive chores like unloading supplies, inventory, and maintenance.

The goal is to reduce astronaut workload and lower the cost of routine station operations.
