‘SSX’ Reborn? Arcade Snowboarder ‘Carveout 2160’ Shows Real Promise

Byteparrot, the solo studio of Johannes Lugstein, has revealed Carveout 2160, an in-development PC snowboarding game.

It draws inspiration from SSX Tricky and Wipeout, set in futuristic space tournaments.

The game features trick-focused arcade gameplay, split-screen and online multiplayer, plus gadgets.

As an indie project, it could help revive the arcade snowboarding genre with a modern twist.
