TP-Link seeks conditional FCC approval after router import ban, says it is no longer Chinese-owned

TP-Link has asked the FCC for conditional approval to keep importing and launching routers after a broad ban on imported consumer routers.

The company says it is now independently U.S.-based, despite earlier national security concerns linked to its former Chinese ownership.

The decision could determine whether TP-Link can continue selling new routers in the U.S.
