iOS End-To-End Encrypted RCS Messaging Begins Rolling Today In Beta

Apple has begun beta support for end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging in iOS 26.5.

The feature enables more secure cross-platform chats between iPhone and Android users, but requires compatible software, supported carriers, and the latest Google Messages.

Apple also shipped 26.5 updates for iPadOS, macOS Tahoe, and watchOS, along with small additions like Maps suggestions and a new Pride wallpaper.
