Venmo's Redesigned App Offers More Discreet Payments By Default

Venmo is rolling out a redesigned app with a new default for payment posts: friends-only instead of public.

Users will also be able to choose a private “just me” setting, giving them more control over visibility.

The update adds a refreshed feed, reaction options, and shortcuts like “Pay Again” and “Say Thanks.”

A new “Give a Shoutout” button will promote local businesses, with the rollout starting this week and more features coming before fall.
