Maul – Shadow Lord is returning for a second season to expand the Star Wars lore

Lucasfilm Animation has greenlit Season 2 of Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord before Season 1 premieres.

Season 1 debuts on Disney+ with Episodes 1 and 2 on April 6 and runs two episodes per week through May 4.

The 10-episode series follows Maul rebuilding his criminal syndicate after The Clone Wars and meeting a disillusioned Jedi Padawan.

No release date has been announced for Season 2, and the early renewal signals strong confidence from Lucasfilm.
