Fair Trade Commission's Joo Byung-gi: “This isn't aimed only at Coupang... Baemin and Naver will be held to the same standard”

Korea’s FTC chief rejected U.S. claims that the Coupang probe reflects discriminatory treatment of American-owned firms.

He said many of the cases under review began before Coupang’s privacy breach and that the same standards apply to platforms like Baemin and Naver.

The government said diplomatic responses are being coordinated by the foreign ministry, with agencies sharing relevant information.

Korea has already sent a formal rebuttal to the U.S. House Judiciary Committee’s report.
