Google’s Gemini Omni is an all-purpose content generator that wants to replace your entire studio

Google unveiled Gemini Omni at I/O 2026, an all-purpose AI video generator that can create and edit videos from text, sketches, voice notes, photos, and footage.

The model is designed to preserve continuity across scenes, making it easier to produce polished, coherent video content in one system.

Gemini Omni is available now in a free version for YouTube Shorts users, while Gemini app and Google Flow access require subscriptions; enterprise API access will come later.

Google is also watermarking Omni-generated videos with invisible SynthID to help label synthetic media.
