Google’s new Deep Research and Deep Research Max agents can search the web and your private data

Google has launched Deep Research and Deep Research Max for the Gemini API.

The agents combine web search with MCP-based access to private enterprise data, so they can analyze public and proprietary sources together.

They also generate charts and infographics natively to support reporting and analysis workflows.

Deep Research is tuned for speed, while Deep Research Max is built for more exhaustive analysis.

Both are in public preview on paid API plans.
