Google Search improves link display in AI answers, helping users explore

Google is updating Search AI mode and AI Overviews with five new link and discovery features.

The changes add stronger links to related sites, next-read suggestions, and highlighted links from subscribed news sources.

Users will also see previews from forums and social posts, more inline source links, and hover previews for destination pages.

The goal is to make AI search answers more transparent, easier to verify, and better for deeper exploration.
