How to turn off Instagram’s new Instants feature and retract photos you accidentally shared

Instagram’s new Instants feature sends captured photos to Friends by default, raising privacy concerns for accidental sharing.

Users can disable or hide Instants in Content Preferences, including the Hide Instants in Inbox setting.

If a photo was sent by mistake, it can be retracted with Undo or deleted from the archive before recipients open it.

The feature is rolling out worldwide, with Close Friends available as an alternative sharing option.
