FBI Issues Critical Streaming Hack Warning

The FBI issued advisory I-031226-PSA warning that residential proxy networks pose risks to streamers.

The bureau said compromised consumer devices can be used to route attacker traffic and hide locations.

The advisory listed account takeover, phishing, and brute force attacks as threats enabled by residential proxies.

The FBI recommended avoiding untrusted streaming services and apps and keeping firmware and OS updated.
